Bruno Browning & Francesca Sisneros Start 2012 with Their New Release "Extra Sins"

After a much-needed holiday break the Soulsupplement team has recharged their batteries and their musical juices are flowing. It looks like things are lining up so that 2012 will see some of Soulsupplement Records’ best music yet. Bruno Browning and Francesca Sisneros’ five track EP Extra Sins is the first release up and, to quote Bruno: "This release of remixes is much better than the original release of Favorite Sin, it has greater depth and we really allowed ourselves to have fun with it."

Sisneros and Browning’s "Favorite Sin (Talk Box Mix)" not only sets the tone for this EP, but 2012 as well. Right off the bat the four-to-the-floor rhythm track and no nonsense funky bass line let you know that they mean business! “Team Talk Box” decided to add a grimy Minimoog to accent the funky feel. Francesca’s vocals are front and center with a little help from her “partner in crime”, Bruno. Adding to the funk are two other Minimoog bass lines, a bit of Sabre Bass, a dose of Chapman Stick and some accent percussion just to keep things interesting.

The next track is "Favorite Sin (Original Mix)"; this track didn’t make it on the first release and almost didn’t make it on this one! Lucky for us, Francesca championed it and well, we’re glad that she insisted because it’s a proper deep cut. Francesca’s vocals in the spoken word are so warm and inviting, you will have a hard time listening only once. Warm vocals, simple rhythm tracks, clean bass lines and plenty of Rhodes here and there makes this one of those cuts you just simply like to listen to.

“Favorite Sin (The Winkey Mix)" has a techier feel to it, which helps make Extra Sins a well-rounded EP. Bruno and Francesca start off with four on the floor rhythm and a deeper bass line that creates a darker feel that is always nice when you’re doing bad things. This time Sisneros and Browning are right at home with their back and forth vocal style, which makes this one a little gem. After listening a few times, you might be ready for some "bad things" yourself.

Not to be outdone in the funk department, Swamp Donkey throws his hat in the ring with his "Favorite Sin (Swamp Donkey Mix)". Swampy D starts off with a rhythm track that will have you itching to get your slide on, "go ahead ...I do!” A deep bass line, clean synth lines and smooth guitar rips compliment the vocals perfectly. This one has a techier feel that you wouldn’t normally expect from Swamp Donkey, but it works.

Finally, Browning and Sisneros round out the EP with their "Favorite Sin (80’s Mix)”. You will notice from the jump that the drum track is not what you would expect from Bruno and Francesca, but that’s the point. The decision was made to go with less prominent percussion so that the bass line and vocals would be highlighted. It’s a minimal groove, however, the rawness of the track is the point and it rounds out this EP quite nicely.

Bruno Browning & Francesca Sisneros Kick Off The Fall Sessions with Their New Release “Gypsy Soul”.

Bruno Browning & Francesca Sisneros kick off the fall sessions with their new release “Gypsy Soul” a six track EP that provides enough warm house goodness to see you through the fall and winter months that lay ahead.

Team talk box start things off with the Lone Ranger Mix of “Gypsy Soul” a straight forward four on the floor house cut that will not disappoint. They combine a no nonsense rhythm track with one of Bruno’s all time favorite basslines to get this one off to a great start. Bruno’s vocals take center stage on this mix which is framed nicely by the keyboard and guitar work.

The Original Mix is next and it sounds just like the previous mix with one major difference…..both Francesca and Bruno are on the mic. If you like the flow of the first mix but don’t want a track that has Bruno hogging the mic then this one is for you. It’s real easy to become a fan of the back and forth vocal styling of these two.

In the third track Bruno & Francesca switch things up with the Dub Rub Mix. The vocals are trimmed down and a much deeper bassline is added to make this one a deep groover. This one is for the deepest cats that are only getting started at 8am on a Sunday morning.

The fourth track in this EP is purely for the funky massive. Rumor is that Francesca insisted that this one get recorded and we’re glad that she did because this one is a floor filler. Francesca & Bruno came up with a new rhythm track as well as new bassline that fits perfect with Francesca’s spoken word version of the vocal. All of these new elements along with Bruno’s vocals make this one a must for your winter box.

Bruno & Francesca’s fifth track is the Day 4 Mix and if you’ve ever hung around with Bruno & Francesca for four days in a row you will get it. The two came up with a new rhythm track and paired it with the bassline from the Dub Rub Mix. Next they added a trimmed downed version of Francesca’s spoken word vocal to make a completely new track. We love the flow of this one and you will too…..it’s just like hanging around with team talk box for four days in a row.

Last but certainly not least Swamp Donkey makes an appearance with his Swamp Donkey Mix of Gypsy Soul. Rumor is that Swamp Donkey has a problem with Francesca but it doesn’t seem to have gotten in the way of him doing an extra swampy remix for Bruno & Francesca. Swampy D’s funked out drum track is nasty and his bassline is straight out of the grimiest of swamps. Begrudgingly (we’re sure) he added Francesca’s spoken word vocal which makes this one the favorite here at the Soulsupplement compound.

Bruno Browning & Francesca Sisneros's End The Summer with "Favorite Sin"

With summer sessions coming to a close Soulsupplement Records have saved the best release for last with “Favorite Sin”. This time Bruno Browning has teamed up with long time Soulsupplement family member Francesca Sisneros. Francesca has been a part of the team since the beginning and after much prodding she has finally agreed to get from behind the scenes and put her artistic talents front and center……….you won’t be disappointed.

Bruno & Francesca start things off with the Funky Mix of “Favorite Sin” a four on the floor number that has all the normal funky house trappings that will make the floor move. Straight forward rhythm track and a nice funky bassline are the foundation of this track however it’s the vocals that make this one a winner. The vocals are written and performed by Francesca and Bruno and they’re in the goldilocks area…… just right.

Next the partners in crime serve up the Xtra Sinful Mix of “Favorite Sin” another four on the floor cut however they have changed the rhythm track as well as the bassline to add a different feel to this one. Bruno & Francesca’s vocals are still there, however if you listen closely you will hear some extra verses that are not on the Funky Mix. Rumor has it that this one is Bruno’s favorite.

Francesca and Bruno finish up the EP with the Less Sinful Mix of “Favorite Sin”. Once again they have changed the drum track and the bassline and the mood is instantly changed. A subtle rhythm track combined with a big sub bassline will make you feel just right……..we promise.

The funky cuts continue with Soulsupplement Records new release “Donkey Funk”. Once again Bruno Browning and Swamp Donkey have teamed up to give us another piece of funky goodness. “Donkey Funk” is a 4 track EP that has been marinated with nothing but Vegas funk.

Swamp Donkey starts you off with the Original Mix of “Donkey Funk” a straight forward funky house number that combines all of the necessary ingredients to make this one a mover. HuggyBear Rhodes, YoungBlood Priest guitars and a rhythm track that will make you feel that like you’re actually in a movie with Shaft.

Bruno’s Mix of “Donkey Funk” is a chunkier version of the original with a few added elements here and there that adds that “Bruno vibe”. Extra bits of percussion and some subdued clavinet make this one easy choice for the funky people.

The Broken Down mix of “Donkey Funk” is a broken beat number with all of the funkiest elements of the original. Swamp Donkey decided to give a little Swampy love to the broken beat masses with this one. Straight forward nothing out of the ordinary just the original with a new rhythm track.

The fourth and final track on this EP “Donkey Funk” (Clavinet Mix) is from Bruno and is a techier version of the original. Funkiness combined with a techier bassline and rhythm track make this one a floor filler. Browning has added his clavinet touch to this track and it works brilliantly. Don’t sleep on this one.

With the summer upon us the boys of Soulsupplement Records have offered up a little slice of Summer love “Vegas Nights”. Bruno Browning & Swamp Donkey has team up again to co-produce this 3 track EP just in time for Bruno’s Birthday except in this case it’s you that get the gift.

The Master of the Minimal Groove & The Master of Minimal Funk kick things off with “Vegas Nights” (Original Mix) a lovely broken number with a dripping with funk bassline and so sexy saxophone that will have you believing that you’re driving down the strip at midnight with the top down….(We’re talking to you Chris Cowie:).

Next the boys offer up “Vegas Nights” (Knotty Locks Mix) a more straight to the point 4 on the floor cut that has most of the original parts with a little dreadlock magic from the dreadlock man himself Bruno. This touch combined with a driving rhythm track makes this one a driver.

Last but most definitely not least is “Vegas Nights” (Deeper Locks Mix). This track is just Bruno and Swamp Donkey’s way of having a little fun with the “Genre Police”. They combined an electro influenced drum track with the extra funky layered elements of the original. You won’t know if you should “shake & pop” or do the “Double Dutch Bus” with this one…..but it works.

Soulsupplement's Greenlight Groove is Perfect to Cool You Down This Summer

With Vegas Dayclubs all the rage Soulsupplement Record’s “Greenlight Groove” is just what the Doctor ordered to cool you down while tanning by the pool. “Greenlight Groove” is the latest from Bruno Browning and it does not disappoint. A re-rub of an early Soulsupplement release this one is near and dear to Bruno’s heart.

“Greenlight” (Original Re-Rub) is a straight 4 on the floor deep house track. Deep basslines combined with deep and sexy keyboards make this one cool as can be. If you’re looking for a track to instantly make you box drop a few degrees this one is for you.

“Greenlight” (C-17 Mix) is another 4/4 version of the original however the addition of a techier rhythm track adds a bit of edge to this cut. Additional percussion and tougher effects makes this one stand out without taking away from the cool keyboard vibe.

“Greenlight” (C-130 Mix) is a broken beat version that will have those that like their beats a bit broken and distorted happy as clams. Same cool vibe but the addition of the broken beat rhythm track adds a nice touch of grime to this release.

Swamp Donkey and Bruno Browning's Chunky Vegas is as Hot as The Vegas Sun

TheLas Vegas sun is bringing the heat and so are the boys of Soulsupplement Records with their latest release “Chunky Vegas”. Swamp Donkey and Bruno Browning join forces on this funky three track EP that’s as hot as the Vegas sun.

Bruno Browning’s contribution to the EP is the original mix of “Chunky Vegas” and it is without a doubt a floor mover. Browning combines a hypnotizing rhythm track with a rolling bassline and then combines it when a dash of guitar and some nasty clavinet to make this one mover.

Swamp Donkey’s first offering is the Swamped Mix of “Chunky Vegas” and as usual he puts his own unique stamp on things. By adding his own spin on the rhythm track and keeping the rolling bassline this one is true to the original. Of course the Donkey can’t leave it there…….by combining his signature organ vibe to the original’s clavinet it gets real swampy real fast.

Last but definitely not least is Swamp Donkey’s Flute Mix of “Chunky Vegas”. Same drum track however on this version Donkey adds a different bassline that completely changes the mood. A few new organ parts and a nice flute riff make this one just right to create a special vibe.

"Relax A LIttle Bit" Find's Its Way Out of The Vegas Desert With Nothing But Funk.

Soulsupplement Records Las Vegas sound is making its way out of the desert once again with their newest release "Relax A Little Bit". This 4 track EP is cool enough to make the Vegas sun bearable and the funky enough to make the funky massive happy.

Right off the bat Bruno Browning’s “Relax a Little Bit” (Glo Patio Mix) sets the mood with this 4 on the floor funky house number that’s just right for all pools and patios as well as the deepest of house rooms. Cryptic vocals, pulsing basslines and a classic funky Browning rhythm track make this one just right for all occasions.

The second track on this EP is offered up by Swamp Donkey and as always he adds his own unique flavor. Brass stabs, organ basslines and a little bit of this and a whole of that makes this one instantly swampy.

The third track on this EP is Browning’s Original Mix of “Relax a Little Bit”. A slight variation in the rhythm track goes along way with this roller. Sometimes little changes go along way and this one finds it mark with the rolling baseline paired up with a driving drum track. Don’t sleep on this one.

The last track is Bruno’s Broken Mix and again it goes down with ease and flavor. The Broken Mix of “Relax a Little Bit” is a break beat version of the original that will make the dance crews happy as well as those Djs that are looking to break up the 4 x 4 vibe in their next set.

Soulsupplement Records is in full spring mode with their new release “7 Nights in 2011”. “7 Nights in 2011” is a two track remix release of Bruno Browning’s “7 Nights a Week”. A few additions here and a few subtractions there make this one just right for spring.

Browning’s 2011 Mix of “7 Nights a Week” has a chunkier rhythm track and a deeper bassline that gets the groove off to a proper start. Additional percussion layered on top of the original vocal lines gives this one the right amount of sting for the spring.

Bruno’s Xtra Mix of “7 Nights a Week” is darker number that combines a broken beat rhythm section with a subterranean bassline. This one is only for the cats that have to move. If you like hanging out against the wall or in a chair…..you need not apply.

Soulsupplement Records is proud to bring you the newest artist from our stable. Some say that he's from the tidal marshes of Panama. Some people say that he's from the swamps of Louisiana. Some even say that his brain is quantized.......... all we know is that he's called Swamp Donkey.

Swamp Donkey's freshman Soulsupplement release is a remix of Bruno Browning's "Sleazy Disco" and he starts things off right with “Sleazy Donkey” (Xtra Swampy Mix). This four on the floor funky house track is just right for all occasions. Swamp Donkey creates a layered rhythm track that even has dragon drums spread around just to make it interesting. His eclectic flavor is all over this remix from the synths to the 60’s influenced basslines.

“Sleazy Donkey” (Dub Mix) is what you might expect from a dub…….minimalism for the minimal massive. Heavy on the Dragon Drums and heavy on the techy bassline but sometimes less is so much more.

Soulsupplement's Fall Sessions Have Begun and up First is Neon Underground

Fall is here and it seems that everyone is going underground to fight off the chill so with this is mind Soulsupplement Records is offering up their latest release “Neon Underground”. “Neon Underground” is a three tracker that will warm you right up…..guaranteed.

The first track “Neon Underground” (Original Mix) is from Bruno Browning and it’s a proper deep house cut that will do your body good. Standard 4 on the floor house track with deep vocal stabs, tough basslines and nice rhythms. Combine those with lovely piano lines and you will definitely feel the chill leaving your body.

The second track in the mix is “Neon Underground” (Leroy’s Mix) from Leroy South. Leroy is back on the case with this techy and to the point remix. A drum track that sets the mood right off is combined with a nasty Leroy South synthline that has this cut ready for the main room.

The third and final track in this EP is another track from Leroy South “The Unicorn Charlie”. To be fair this is just a slight variation from South’s mix of “Neon Underground” but trust me if you are a fan of Charlie the Unicorn don’t sleep on this one…..that’s all we’re saying.

Soulsupplement Records is happy to introduce two new artists’ to the team DeepMilo and Arkay. This powerful production team hails from the UK and is out of the gate straight away with their freshman Soulsupplement release “Bruce Killer”. “Bruce Killer” is a proper banger with just the right amount of funk and grime to make the Soulsupplement cut.

Up first is “Bruce Killer” (Original Mix) and its spot on for anytime of night on dance floors worldwide. The driving rhythm track coupled with a low down nasty bass line is just the ticket to get the crowds moving. A no nonsense build up paired with a grimy vocal makes this one ready to ride.

Their next cut is “ChicaChica” which has been getting a major rinsing from Jeff Barker on the FLH (For The Love of House) radio show. This cut has also been heard on some of the best dance floors in the UK. If you like the techier stuff that’s been coming out lately you can thank Browning’s friend Chris Cowie for kicking him in the pants and making him push his boundaries.

Bruno’s first entry is “6 String Groove” (Original Mix) a proper deep & funky 4/4 number that has all the trappings of Vegas poolside smash. Funky basslines coupled with deep house guitar make this one top shelf.

Browning tips his hat to Chris Cowie with “6 String Groove” (75^th Dub Mix). With Chris’s pushing Bruno decided to get out of his comfort zone and try some techier vibes. Tougher drums and bassline allows this track to take on a more serious vibe while keeping true to the original. Don’t sleep on this one.

Just as summer is winding down Bruno Browning has slowed things down a bit by serving up a bit of Deep House flavor with the “Carrot Juice” EP. “Carrot Juice” is a two track EP that’s perfect for any sunrise set on any patio or beach in the world….and reminds us all that summer 09 is coming to a close.

Bruno kicks off the EP with “Carrot Juice” (original mix) which is in the classic Browning deep house style. A four on the floor number that combines the winning combination of Funky bass lines, Trumpet and a jazzy flute that will have you asking for more.

With the second track Browning continues his summer 09 trend of adding a little something for the break fans. Soulsupplement Records is back again with round three of Summer 09 funk with “Doing Your Thang”. “Doing your Thang” is a two track EP that keeps that summer funk flowing and the dance floors filled with only the funkiest of club goers.

Newcomer Leroy South makes his Soulsupplement Records debut on this one while Bruno Browning wears the engineer hat on this EP. Leroy starts off by first serving up a healthy dose of funk with “Doing your thang (Orig Mix)” a 4 on the floor groover that tells you all that you need to know about South’s ability to keep the funk alive.

Soulsupplement has found that they can create the best sounds by taking all of their favorite analog gear and combining it with the best production software on the market today. By blending these two different production systems, they have the best of both worlds, which allows them to create their own unique sound.

2007 marked the beginning of collaboration with legendary DJ/Producer Chris Cowie who contributed three remixes of their 2007 12” release “Light”.
